Welcome!
My name is John Cox. I am a wildlife biologist, the owner of
Game Management Services, Inc. and founder of Peas Plus, LLC. For the last 25 years, I have been managing wildlife on private ranches in Texas and Oklahoma, as well as outfitting for quail, deer and turkey hunting. I also manage about 20 ranches in North and West Texas that are enrolled in the Texas Parks & Wildlife MLD Program.
In the summer of 2009, I began an extensive search to find an alternative to corn that was safe, superior in nutrition and would easily dispense from spin cast or bulk deer feeders. Black-eyed peas fit the criteria I was looking for. They are rich in both protein and carbohydrates and are also safe from aflatoxin and other harmful mycotoxins.
As an added bonus, black-eyed peas have proven to be a better attractant than corn.
Whether you are a deer hunter, quail hunter or just a wildlife enthusiast, black-eyed peas are an excellent alternative as a supplemental feed for your wildlife. Deer prefer them, quail and turkey love them, and they are nutritionally superior to most processed deer feeds and all small grains traditionally fed to deer, quail and turkey.
